Our friends, families, and members met up at John’s Family Restaurant (www.johnsfamilyrestaurant.com) on Monday March 29th for fellowship and fun.  The evening was a great success!  We appreciate Br. John Tsoulos, owner of John’s Restaurant, for his continued support of our lodge and Masonry.

Worshipful Master Rich Woods Welcomes our Newest Master Masons

Steele Creek Masonic Lodge raised our three newest Brothers Saturday Morning, March 27th, Brothers Daniel Voorhees, Wesley Rasmussen, and Don Miller.  Thanks to all of the brethren who helped put on the Degree and to our fine kitchen committee for a wonderful breakfast!

On March 15th Steele Creek Lodge had an Entered Apprentice Degree to initiate two men into our fraternity.  This degree was put on by a degree team consisting of all Past Masters.  All of these Worshipful Brothers did an outstanding job!  Our Lodge has a great showing of Past Masters at all of our regular meetings and our Lodge is better place for having them there.

It is almost that time again!  On May 8th, Steele Creek Lodge will be having our Annual Fish Fry/ Car Show Charity Fundraiser.  Everyone is welcome to come out and spend the day eating some delicious Fried Flounder (All you can Eat) and looking at some of the best Hot Rods and Antique Cars in the area.  There will something for everyone, so come out and join us.  All proceeds from the event will be going to our Masonic Charities.  For more information download our flyer here.

Steele Creek Lodge holds a BBQ fundraiser each year in the fall.  On November 12th, 2009, our Lodge and the Steele Creek community stepped up and raised over $15,000 for the children of Oxford Home for Children (http://www.mhc-oxford.org/).  WBr. Chris Richardson, the Director of Financial Developement at Oxford, came to our Lodge on Monday February 15 and personally accepted our donation on behalf of the children at Oxford.  Thanks goes out to all of the Brethren who worked hard to make this possible, not only from Steele Creek Lodge, but also from the Children at Oxford!

17 Brothers from Steele Creek Lodge traveled over to James K. Polk Lodge in Pineville, NC (www.jkpolk.com) on February 11th and brought the Traveling Gavel back to Steele Creek. It was a great evening of fellowship and fun with our Masonic Brethren. Let’s see how long it takes for another lodge to come and get it from us! Our Stated Communications are held on the first Monday of every month, come and get it.
